Our Mission
The Massachusetts HPE Charity, Inc. is committed to raising funds that support charities and organizations that address the needs of families and children diagnosed with Holoprosencephaly (HPE), and other related brain malformations.
What is HPE?
Holoprosencephaly is a congenital brain disorder caused by a failure of an embryo's forebrain to divide to form bilateral cerebral hemispheres (the right and left halves of the brain).
HPE is the most common brain malformation in a developing fetus and often leads to miscarriage in early pregnancy.
